Eric Meier (*1989 in East Berlin, GDR) grew up in Frankfurt (Oder) and lives and works in Berlin. Working across photography, sculpture, video, and installation, he investigates the architectural and social legacies of East German modernity and the ongoing transformation of post-socialist urban landscapes. His practice examines the erosion of collective utopias, the politics of space, and the relationship between material traces, individual biographies, and collective memory. Meier’s works are held in collections including the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, the Federal Art Collection, and the Hoffmann Collection.
